 Training Manager

About the position

As Training Manager, you will be part of the Training Wing team, which consists of two other colleagues. Your task is to support the company in achieving its goals by utilizing your expertise in the use of our products and your substantial competence as an instructor. You will assist the sales team by conducting professional and commercial product demonstrations, and after a sale, you will support end customers with qualified delivery training.

Your expertise will be essential for supporting the development of new products and enabling access to new customer areas and collaborative partners. The focus will be on customers within the military, law enforcement, security industry, sports shooting, and hunting sectors.

Responsibilities:

Ensure that product demonstrations and training sessions are conducted safely and accurately, providing a positive experience for the customer.

• Conduct training for distributors and partners.
• Provide delivery training to end customers.
• Plan and execute major events.
• Participate in national and international fairs/events.
• Organize and conduct shooting training sessions and demonstrations.

This role is based at Aimpoint's headquarters in Malmö; however, working as a Training Manager involves traveling extensively, with approximately 100–150 travel days per year internationally. You will regularly visit customers and end users as part of your role.

You will work closely with Sales, Marketing, and your team colleagues. The position reports directly to the Senior Training Manager.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who thrives in a role where their educational and pedagogical skills are fully utilized, alongside a drive and motivation to move forward—even without having all the answers at the start. Since this role involves extensive internal and external contact, strong communication skills and the ability to build trust-based relationships are crucial.

Flexibility is key for meeting customers and partners effectively, as is the ability to quickly switch gears when required. Risk management capabilities and an understanding of the importance of safety, discipline, and organization are essential. You should possess strong planning skills while also being able to work ad hoc if needed. Courage balanced with realism, combined with a confidence to prioritize time on activities that drive results, is highly valued.

Requirements:

• Fluency in written and spoken Swedish and English (other language skills are advantageous).
• Comfortable with a position that involves frequent travel.
• Driver’s license.
• Experience as a qualified instructor within the military, police, or similar environments.
• Proficiency with pistols, rifles and automatic weapons; familiarity with support weapons (heavy machine guns, grenade launchers, recoilless rifles) is a plus.
• Preferably, you are also a dynamic sports shooter and/or hunter.
