Quality Engineer
Aimpoint is a steadily growing company with an exciting future where top-notch quality and environmental sustainability are high on our agenda.
We are now looking for a Quality Engineer for the Sight System segment. At Quality Sight System, you will be part of a team, currently five colleagues, working alongside other specialists and engineers. This is an exciting and challenging role focused on ensuring the quality of our products, with a particular emphasis on our automated production line. Your customers will include both defense and civilian clients, such as those in hunting and sports shooting.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about quality and enjoys blending data analysis with cross-functional quality work across the organization.
Your main responsibilities will include:
· Managing deviations.
· Documenting quality investigations.
· Driving continuous improvements.
· Calibration.
· Troubleshooting and conducting root cause analysis.
· Analyzing and trending data.
· Participating in product and product maintenance projects.
· Performing internal audits.
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you need a minimum of five years of experience as a Quality Engineer.
Additionally, you should have:
· A relevant university/college degree.
· Strong analytical and results-driven skills.
· Fluency in both Swedish and English, in both spoken and written communication.
· Solid knowledge of statistical methods.
The role will also involve travel, including visits to our factory in Malmö.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
We place great value on your ability to work independently and collaboratively, as well as your initiative and engagement. Being creative, analytical, and structured in problem-solving environments is essential for this role. You should feel comfortable in both production and laboratory environments and have the capacity to drive improvement initiatives.
Additional qualifications that are meritorious for the role include:
· Experience with quality work in ERP systems.
· Conducting internal audits.
· Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification (or equivalent).
· Knowledge in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) and interpreting technical drawings.
· Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 or equivalent standards.
· Experience in statistical methods.
· Proficiency in Minitab or similar statistical software.
· Hands-on experience with daily quality work in production environments (e.g., blocking, releasing, and qualification processes).
